Using the gold spot prices chart information

The following chart values are revised every few minutes, while markets are active.

[Most recent quotes from www.kitco.com]

The above chart shows gold, silver, platinum, palladium, and rhodium metals trading prices (based in US dollars).  Prices are based on "spot" metals prices and not on future market prices. (See bottom of page for definition of spot.)

These goldcharts are revalued every every few minutes during open market hours.

Spot Gold Prices vary from one commodity exchange to another.

Gold prices will vary slightly between different commodity markets. Because the value of the United States Dollar (in relation to other currencies) is also changing, experts who trade large quantities of precious metals will often buy and sell gold in different exchanges. Thereby taking advantage of minor variances in gold spot prices. You can view these variances (or trade them yourselves) by looking at BullionVault's online gold trading system. To view their site's information click on the gold "markets" button at the top of their webpage.  (There's no charge to view their site.)

* - What is the "Spot Gold Price"?   - One might say that the "spot" price is the price quoted for large bars of the precious metal.   Those metal bars are stored in certified warehouses. Usually only the receipt of ownership changes hands.   Keep in mind that the spot price does not include broker commissions.   When purchasing precious metals in the form of coins or smaller bars expect to pay a premium for the manufacture, some kind of commission or markup, and of course postage/insurance to receive your purchase.   Our opinion is, that for the individual investor, it is best to take personal possession of all metals and coins you purchase.

All prices quoted and information you see comes from what we expect to be reliable sources.
