The "50 State Quarters" Program

  The United States Congress has commissioned the United States Mint to produce a Washington Quarter with a design representing each of the 50 States. These statehood Quarters are to be produced at a rate of 5 different ones each year. Issued in the order that the states joined the union. Below is the scheduled dates for their release.

Note: After 2008 the mint may mint a quarter for each of the US territories, if Congress agrees.
